Marc Chagall lived a remarkable life during remarkable times. His birth place of Belarus was always a major theme of his paintings, (which were singular in their highly emotional nature) even though he lived most of his adult life in France. This portrait was taken from a photo of Chagall in the South of France, the location of his last home.

This image was etched onto a copper plate, inked with black and run through my etching press. It is an editioned work of art printed on all cotton archival quality paper.
