Auguste Rodin created sculptures that were expressionistic during an era when the classical style was the norm. He was a controversial artist in both his public and private lives. By the end of his career he had achieved great popularity and helped to change the aesthetic of his times. This image is taken from a photo of Rodin in his studio.

This image was etched onto a copper plate, inked with black and run through my etching press. It is an editioned work of art printed on all cotton archival quality paper.
